We just had our first lesson….I became nervous when Josh brought up the fact that the class was called Mommy and Me Ballerina meaning I would have to prance around with her and all the other moms in leotards. Bella was great until she decided she was better off without me and refused to do anything I said. She didn’t always follow the group but then again the group didn’t really follow itself. The teacher did notice her long feet and I believe, her gracefulness.

Bella is a wreak now and Josh is uneasy about his turn at “wearing the leotard” so to speak, next week. I am hoping that in the future this experience will be shared in person by Bella’s loved ones.

Lazy Days

For about a week now, all I’ve wanted to do is to wrap up in my wool blanket. Honestly I haven’t done much beyond that but my problem is that I feel guilty for not doing housework, being a better mom, or at least making use of my time off from school. Not to sound depressing but I think I’m mildly depressed.

Ob-la-di, Ob-la-da, life goes on, brah!….Lala how life goes on.

I don’t even know what that means but it hits the spot…I think I go look for it on Itunes.

I held back so much…they have no idea about “Boring” or our nameless friends which are truly the highlight of the trip. I did not mention how we went about leaving the various towns on our journey, the generosity of Sicilians or Chubbiness. Sarah clearly started it all with pointing out Michelangelo’s tomb. At this point I wonder if the pact is more annoying to people then “when I was in Italy” but a pact is a pact and until someone else breaks it I honor it completely.

Colosseum, Arch of Constantine, Shelby and Sarah, and Shelby and Sarah. Creepy One of my books actually ripped on Trevi Fountain from an “artistic” point of view, for me it was a highlight. At the time I declared that this would be the only picture of the Colosseum I would take.

I can’t remember what it’s called but it was in Rome, and it was large and round….. a bit run down really. Capitol Hill, Rome. This was not the angle Michelangelo intended it to be view from, my apologies. Palentine HillRoman ForumDuring our holiday I spent a lot of time taking panoramic photographs. On my kodak I have to line up three pic’s and the camera will stitch them together…I got pretty good at it but it does take some time and if I am too close I’ll get some distortion. Over time I started to yell out PANO (with an extended ohhhh) in our self-created dialect, usually it would be echoed in the same language. I highly recommend panos because you can’t take a bad picture, and you really get a since of environment. After all most of the time when we take a picture (landscape) we were drawn to it because of several different elements.

He let Bella watch Lord of the Rings with him briefly and only briefly because Bella didn’t like it (“scary”). Well since then Bella was using tent stakes as “Knifes” and has been talking about “Hate”.
